Our mission is to make production of custom short movies drawn with sand by professional artists seamless and affordable
It started from a simple realization: there is no easy way to order a sand presentation. Ivan and Angela, the founders of Sand Movie, were preparing for their engagement party, at which they wanted to share a unique story of their relationship. They envisioned having a professional and entertaining video, yet struggled to make it special at a reasonable cost. On a family trip to Bali they have met amazing local art school that performed live sand paintings on a street corner to entertain the crowd. While Ivan and Angela could not take one of the artist with them back to US, Angela asked for a live sand painting of their first date story and Ivan recorded the presentation with his smart phone. The sand video was a huge success at the engagement party, and many of their friends later asked if they can contact that sand art school. That is when the light bulb lit up and they launched this platform.
At Sandmovie.com you can follow an easy process to place your customized order. First, you chose a package for your needs, add picture that artists may recreate with sand, and describe the way you want to tell your sand story. Second, we setup an account for you with your email that will be used for order tracking and progress updates, and process your payment. Lastly, we will notify you when your order is complete and you may download the video or share it on social media directly from our web site.
On the back-end, our team will review your needs and will work with talented artists to prepare a sand painting of your liking. We partner with a pool of artists that can deliver sand paintings of different complexity from wedding videos, product commercials, and other sand presentations. We strive to automate most of the process, so that most of your payment goes directly to the artists who create the one-of-a-kind sand movie for you.
Sand movie for any special occasion will not only get you a memorable sand art, but also will support a community of sand drawing artists.
